In a pharmaceutical plant, voltage is a controlled process parameter
GMP-compliant manufacturing runs on tight tolerances — in chemistry, in temperature, in filling volumes, and in the power supply that drives every one of those controlled parameters.
When voltage drops during a tablet compression run, the compaction force changes. When it spikes during a liquid filling cycle, your filling machine controller resets and the batch is flagged. When phase imbalance causes uneven motor torque on a coating drum, your coating-uniformity data fails QA review. None of these failures are caused by operator error or raw-material deviation. They are caused by an unstable supply that your validation documents assumed would be stable.

What happens to GMP lines without regulated power
PLC-controlled equipment — blister packing machines, tablet presses, liquid filling lines, autoclaves — stores operational parameters and batch records in volatile and non-volatile memory. Voltage stress attacks both the record and the hardware.
Batch records are corrupted, then rejected
A voltage sag deep enough to reset a processor corrupts the current batch record. Under GMP a batch with an incomplete electronic record cannot be released — it has to be investigated, documented, and in most cases rejected entirely. The cost of a single formulation batch rejection typically exceeds a properly sized stabilizer many times over.
Motor drives degrade years early
Repeated voltage stress on the drives that run your granulator, coater, capsule filler, and HVAC accelerates component wear. Inverter boards rated for eight to ten years under clean power fail in three to four under the conditions typical of Indian industrial estates.
